1,Overview of Ground Resistance  Tester.

The universal grounding resistance tester is used to measure the resistance value between the casing of various motors, electrical appliances, instrumentation, household appliances and other equipment and their power ground. The instrument has the second gear test current (AC: 25A or AC: 10A), and the test time setting (1~99S). When the measured value exceeds 100mΩ (AC 25A) or 200mΩ (AC 10A), it has the function of sound and light alarm, and has the function of overcurrent (AC 30A) protection. The instrument uses 31/2 digits to display, and the reading is convenient and intuitive. The instrument adopts the principle of divider for measurement, and the fluctuation of the test current will not affect the measurement accuracy, so it has the advantages of accurate measurement, convenient operation and small size. 3.How to use the ground resistance tester ?

3.1. The instrument is equipped with one pair (two sets) of measuring wires. The large and small plugs of the red wire group are respectively connected to the test sockets A and a of the tester, and the large and small plugs of the black wire group are respectively connected to the test sockets of the tester B and b.

3.2. Turn on the power, turn on the power switch, and the digital tube of the display will light up.

3.3. Select the test current range switch 25A or 10A as required. 25A range when the switch is pressed; 10A range when the switch is released.

3.4. Turn the current adjustment knob counterclockwise to zero.

3.5. Connect the clip ends of the above two sets of measurement lines to the test points of the object to be measured.

3.6. Manual measurement

(1) Set the timer switch to “manual” state.

(2) After checking that steps 3-5 are correct, press the “Start” button, the “Test” light is on, adjust the “Current Adjustment” knob and observe the current value on the display to the selected current value, and then read the resistance displayed on the display. Reading, when the grounding resistance of the measured object is greater than the grounding resistance alarm value set by the current file, the instrument will send out sound and light alarm, otherwise, it will not alarm. If you need to stop the test, press the “Reset” button, the “Test” light will go out, the loop current will be cut off, and the test clip will be removed from the object under test for the next measurement.

3.7. Timing measurement

(1) Set the instrument to the “reset” state.

(2) Press the “timing” switch to the “timing” position, and preset the required test time as needed.

(3) After checking that steps 3 to 5 are correct, press the “Start” button, the “Test” light is on, the display time counter starts to count down, adjust the “Current Adjustment” knob and observe the display current value to the selected current value, Then read the resistance reading displayed on the display screen. When the grounding resistance of the measured object is greater than the grounding resistance alarm value set by the current file, the instrument will send out an audible and visual alarm, otherwise, it will not alarm. When the test time is over, the loop current is automatically cut off, and the test clip can be removed from the object under test for the next measurement.

3.8. This instrument has overcurrent protection, when the loop current exceeds 30A,

The instrument gives an overcurrent indication (overcurrent light is on), and automatically cuts off the loop current. Press the “Reset” button to cancel the alarm state, and turn the “Current Adjustment” knob counterclockwise to a smaller value for the next measurement.
